My name is Madison Wilson and I was born in Jacksonville, Florida. I moved around when I was younger and my family finally settled in Johns Creek, Georgia where I graduated from Northview High School. I am now a freshman at Auburn University. I am in the college of Education and I am majoring in Elementary Education. I have the passion for helping others and watching them learn and grow in what they are doing. I found my love for teaching in high school, when I started working with children. I put helping others and children together and chose to pursue elementary education. My math teacher my senior year sparked my interest for pursing a career in teaching. I really love working with kids; I have done a lot of work with kids through volunteering, my job, and just helping out. During my summer before coming to Auburn I worked at Primerose School as an assistant teacher and that is when I confirmed my passion for teaching. In my involvement here at Auburn I have found my sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and other organizations where I go and volunteer with Joy Land Daycare, go help out with the Humane Society, and help out at an after school program at Greater Peace Church. Being apart of these organizations on campus has really shown me more about helping others and having a positive attitude. Colonizing the chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma has shown me how to be a leader, have patience, and learn good time management. I think these skills I am learning through my experience at Auburn will help me in the future. I hope to keep growing and learning more about my self here at Auburn, so I can be the best person I can be.
